Nathan Camp

Manager, International Training and Education Outreach Global Affairs, Office of the Provost 

Duties: Under the supervision of the Associate Vice Provost, Academic Programs and the Chief of Staff, Global affairs, conducts research and outreach to expand Asian international program ties; responsible for development and implementation of Global Faculty Ambassador program to better link the university to partner institutions; supports the Communications Director by assisting in developing communications outreach programs.

Education: M.A. Southeast Asian Studies, University of Hawai‘i; B.A. Science in Society, Wesleyan University; Degree Fellow, East-West Center; Certificate, Consortium for the Overseas Teaching of Malay and Indonesian; Professional Certificate student, Nonprofit Fundraising & Development, UC San Diego Extension; Participant, Bali Arts & Culture Program, School for International Training.

Background: Nathan brings to UC Davis years of experience working with community organizations and universities in the US and Southeast Asia. Areas of skill involve program development and assessment, program marketing and management, partnership creation and maintenance, group training, and fundraising. Nathan has also worked as a freelance editor for university professors and scholarly publications and donates grant writing and editing services to community organizations. Past positions include: Program Director, Volunteers in Asia; Education Council Chair, East-West Center; Marketing and Social Media Consultant, Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans (PANA) San Diego; Board Liaison & Administrative Consultant, EMPOWER San Diego; Tour Consultant and Departures Supervisor, EF Educational Tours; Teaching Assistant, UC Santa Cruz.
