Fulbright Scholar Programs

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship program for the international exchange of scholars. The program offers a wide range of research and educational exchange opportunities for UC Davis faculty to teach and conduct research in over 130 countries. The Fulbright Scholar Program also brings international scholars to UC Davis each year for academic collaboration and cultural exchange that is transforming the campus community by building bridges to all parts of the world.

UC Davis is ranked among the top 10 by the Chronicle of Higher Education as one of the institutions hosting the most foreign Fulbright Scholars, 2010-11 one of the top producers of U.S. Fulbright Scholars, 2010-11.

Over the last few years UC Davis has conducted four Faculty and Graduate Student Fulbright Program workshops led by senior program officers from the Washington, D.C. office and our staff has assisted faculty in preparing applications.

In 2009-2010, UC Davis hosted over 20 Fulbright advisors from Fulbright Commissions and U.S. Embassies across East Asia and the Pacific. The Fulbright program continues to be an important part of our efforts to strengthen and enhance our international leadership and education and research collaboration.
