Evelyn Mangove has two years of experience in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector. Currently, Evelyn is a civil engineer at the Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Administration in Mozambique, focusing on the construction and expansion of water supply systems. Her passion for youth development led her to participate in the Kectil Youth Leadership Program, an online training program for talented youth from developing countries. She volunteers as a regional coordinator for the program's 2023 cohort. Evelyn holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. She is committed to her work and believes that giving citizens in rural areas access to clean water and adequate sanitation is crucial to improve people's quality of life. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Evelyn plans to start an association to empower young female professionals and students pursuing WASH-related courses by giving them paid internships in public institutions, mentoring them, and helping them start their careers and build a network.
