Bio

Scott Palmer joined UC Davis in August 2013 as the prestigious scholarship advisor.  In this role, he recruits, advises and prepares high-achieving undergraduates for nationally and internationally renowned external funding opportunities such as the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship, Rhodes Scholarship, and Gates Cambridge Scholarship amongst others.  Scott holds a Bachelor’s in history from the University of Puget Sound and a Master’s in Ministry Leadership from George Fox Seminary.

Scott participated in the Fulbright International Education Administrators Program to Germany in fall 2019 where he learned about the German higher education system and funding mechanisms, while engaging with the culture.  Scott hopes to use the knowledge gained in recruiting and supporting undergraduate applicants for study abroad experiences in Germany through scholarship programs such as Fulbright and Gilman.
