Professor Rost retired in 2006 but remains active on campus primarily as an international curriculum development consultant in various countries, including -- Afghanistan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Slovakia,  etc.  In 2008 he served as the Interim director of the CA Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program.  Professor Rost is active in the UCD Emeriti Association and frequently participates in community theater.
