Bio
I am a plant ecologist with general interests in the spatial organization of plant communities, historical ecology, reconstruction of past vegetation cover, and the effects of alien pathogens on woodlands and forests. While in Davis, I am studying the effects of Sudden Oak Death on vegetation in Big Sur forests. My home institution is the Research Institute of Landscape and Ornamental Gardening in Pruhonice, Czech Republic, Department of Spatial Ecology. I worked in a private research institute between 2018 and 2020, I was an assistant professor at the Department of Botany, Charles University in Prague between 2002 and 2018. I'm also involved in several plant mapping projects for nature conservation purposes.
