Bilisso Abdi is an agri-food biotechnology engineer working in the in-vitro culture laboratory at the Life Science Institute of Djibouti. She is responsible for clonal propagation using tissue cultures from date palm vitroplants. She is also responsible for the mass production of date palm vitroplants, as well as the in-vitro propagation of Boswellia carteri and Boswellia frereana. Bilisso volunteers for many community activities and is part of several organizations, which promote education and food security in Djibouti.
