About Ana Bachurova

Ana Bachurova is a sustainability professional with more than 10 years of experience in environmental policy and climate finance. Her area of work includes the origination and delivery of green economy and decarbonization initiatives for public and private sector actors.
Most recently, Ana worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where she managed multiple energy and climate policy initiatives for the countries in the Western Balkans region. Among others, she has led Regional Energy Efficiency Program and Green City Action Plans. Ana also has experience in development cooperation, having worked for entities such as the German Agency for International Cooperation and the World Bank.
Ana holds a B.Sc. in environmental and resources management from the Brandenburg University of Technology, and an M.Sc. in environmental governance from the University of Freiburg. She also has an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Earlier this year, she earned the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG investing.
As a Humphrey fellow at UC Davis, Ana plans to build on her knowledge and skills to explore synergies between business and sustainability: how businesses can offer solutions to climate challenges, and how incorporating sustainability in corporate agendas can create value for business and society.
