About Kadi Kenk
Circular Economy, Sustainability Governance, and Environmental Policy
Kadi Kenk is a sustainability governance professional with experience across civil society, the private sector, politics, and academia. She began her career as a tax and legal consultant at PwC before joining the team that launched World Cleanup Day, serving first as global volunteer coordinator and later as head of global partnerships. The campaign mobilized millions worldwide and was officially recognized by the United Nations in 2023.
Kadi has since focused on systemic change in the circular economy. She teaches entrepreneurs and corporate leaders circular business models and is a certified Zero Waste trainer, helping municipalities across Europe implement reuse systems and waste reduction strategies. As an advisor to Estonia’s Minister of the Environment, she contributed to one of the EU’s most ambitious single-use plastics reduction policies, and most recently advised the Mayor of Tallinn on sustainability governance. Her policy work also extends to extended producer responsibility systems.
She holds degrees in Tax and Customs Administration and Social Sciences, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in technologies for sustainable use of bioresources in food systems. As a Humphrey Fellow at UC Davis, she aims to deepen her expertise in public service innovation, engage with U.S. corporate leaders, and build partnerships to advance circular solutions globally.
