Bio

Matteo Camporese is an associate professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering of the University of Padova (Italy), with research expertise in integrated surface-subsurface hydrological modeling and data assimilation. The overarching goal of Matteo’s research is to apply physics-based models as tools to address societal challenges, such as impacts of land-use and climate changes on water resources quality and quantity.

Matteo collaborates with Prof. Majdi Abou Najm, from the Department of Land, Air and Water Resources, to develop and apply agroecohydrological models to promising modern agricultural technologies such as agrivoltaics. Such technologies represent potential keys for sustainable advancements in food and energy co-generation, boosting land and water efficiencies and improving soil health.
