Bio

Mr. Ben Dhiaf holds a diploma in Agronomic Engineering from the Mediterranean International Center of High Agronomic Study Program. He received his Master’s degree in protected crops at the International Institute of Chania Greece in 1994. For the past 10 years, he has been working with the Ministry of Agriculture, starting in southern Tunisia as the director of a local project developing sustainable agriculture farming systems (1995-2000). From 2000 until today, he has been the head of phytopathology services in the central laboratory of plant protection and production quality control in the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture in Tunis. During the Humphrey year, Mr. Ben Dhiaf plans to strengthen his knowledge and skills in the field of sustainable farming systems and integrated pest management, as well as attend seminars and workshops in the areas of plant pathology and pest and disease management. Finally he would like to establish professional contacts and partnerships with researchers, professors and international organizations.
