Mr. Banerjee holds an MBA and a post graduate degree in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi, India. He has experience in agriculture and rural development both in the governmental and non-governmental sector. Currently, Mr. Banerjee is working as the Manager of Food Corporation of India (FCI), an organization under the government of India where he manages the food grain operation for his country. Mr. Banerjee has been working for over seven years at FCI and has specialized knowledge in procurement, storage, preservation and the supply chain management of food grains. As a Humphrey Fellow Mr. Banerjee wants to study food grain management practices in the US and to develop a model of food grain management to reduce post harvest food grain loss in India.
