
About Minjeong Song
Minjeong Song is from the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and holds a bachelor's degree in arts (Chinese Language and Literature) and economics from Korea University in South Korea. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in an exchange program at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China, where she learned Chinese. She has been working at the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment in South Korea for more than seven years. She has experience in environmental policies concerning ESG, K-SDGs, and endangered species protection at the regional level.
Drawing on her professional background, she is interested in the frameworks for corporate environmental management, such as carbon regulations on businesses, that the international community is implementing. She has experience in improving systems to enhance global alignment and supporting businesses to respond to international demands. During the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship program, she hopes to explore the related systems and cases in the United States. Additionally, she aims to deepen her understanding of various global issues, engage with diverse experts, and strengthen her capacity as a global environmental expert.
