Thang Za Lian


Mr. Lian holds a Masters of Science in Regional and Rural Development from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and a Bachelors degree in Physics from the University of Mandalay, Myanmar. He has been working for Save the Children as a Regional Program Manager with responsibility of overseeing regional program operations including projects and supervising and coaching regional and area teams. Prior to that, Mr. Lian managed a project on food security and livelihoods in the area. He also played an integral role following the cyclone that hit Myanmar in 2008 working with the Cyclone Nargis Emergency response team, where he served as a Nutrition Manager and managed to save the lives of almost 1400 malnourished children and 500 malnourished pregnant and lactating women.
