About Sévérin Ekpe

Sévérin EKPE has more than eight years of international and national experience in water governance and policy design and analysis in science, technology, and innovation. Sévérin's work involves comprehensive policy and program analysis, which results in reforms and strategies that improve inclusive agricultural water resource management; enhance inclusive research and innovation policy and strategy development; and strengthen water, sanitation, and hygiene services. He is currently co-founder and operations manager at Health Access Initiative NGO, which focuses on reducing social inequalities in health access in marginalized communities in Benin. Sévérin is a member of the Beninese Network of the World Youth Parliament for Water and served as the Couffo region's regional coordinator from 2019 to 2021. He holds a master's degree in Hydrology/Ecohydrology, a master's degree in Water Policy, and a bachelor's degree in Hydrology/Ecohydrology. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Sévérin plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Water Management and Innovation and to continue to volunteer to improve community living conditions.
