Bio
Mkufu Tindi has more than seven years of experience working in the National Electric Company in Tanzania specifically in the power development section. Currently, she is project manager for the hydropower construction project. Mkufu also serves on the chair of the women's chapter of the Institute of Engineers Tanzania as well as a technical mentor for youth robotic challenges. Mkufu holds a bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam, where she focused on energy technologies. She is driven by her commitment to recognizing the contributions of women to the engineering field as well as promoting STEM education for young girls. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she will continue to advocate for bridging the gender gap in the field of engineering.
