Yonas Admaw Tiruneh has more than four years of experience in medicine. Currently, Yonas is a third-year general surgery resident at the University of Gonder. He is a published novelist and is currently working on his second novel. He is also a regular blood donor at his hospital. Yonas holds a medical doctorate in Medicine. He is passionate about surgery because it was his childhood dream and about leadership in public management because of his previous success as a director at a primary hospital. He believes he can make a difference in his country through his work in the medical field. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Yonas plans to pursue a career as a healthcare provider and to continue his efforts to make a difference in the betterment of health care in Ethiopia.
