Ms. Mayorga Torres is a professor in the School of Geology, Mining, Oil, and Environment at the Universidad Central del Ecuador. She directs a program improving access to data related to disaster management. She works with students in geographic information systems and software related to modeling and mining. she works with geospatial technologies including InSAR and has a particular interest in remote sensing for natural disaster management.During the fellowship year, she plans to focus on the areas of natural resources, environmental policy, and climate change.
