Dr. Bexi is a professor of geophysics at the University of Djibouti. He earned his Ph.D. in geophysics at the Sorbonne Paris Cité University and has earned two Masters degrees in Fundamental Physics & Environmental Management at the University of Lyon, France. He works as the Chief of the Science Department of Earth at the University of Djibouti, and his research program focuses on the instrumentation of new sensors of soil moisture for water resources and agriculture. Dr. Bexi is also deeply involved in supporting both public and private institutions as a senior consultant. As a Humphrey Fellow he hopes to combine the electromagnetics for soil moisture (TDR, HYMENET, ENviroSCAN) and remote sensing methods in order to study natural resources and climate change.
