Shakira Phiri has over five years of experience in community development and public management. Currently, Shakira is working as an investment promotion officer with the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism in Malawi where she focuses on promoting investments and facilitating the creation of a conducive business environment. Shakira is driven by her commitment to serve the public and to make decisions that will make a difference in many people's lives. Upon completion of Mandela Washington Fellowship, Shakira plans to continue her work in business reform and promotion of investments to solve the problem of unemployment among youth in Malawi.
