Efráime Pinto has more than six years of experience working in the agrarian sector, specifically in the Department of Agricultural Extension. Efráime is currently an extension agent and coordinator of the Maimelane extension team in Inhassoro, where he works with farmers’ associations to disseminate information on new technology to improve production and agricultural productivity. His work helps transform farmers from subsistence producers to commercial producers. He supervises the activities of the five extension agents in Maimelane. Efráime was trained as a generalist in agriculture and livestock. He is driven by his commitment to helping communities reach socioeconomic sustainability through implementing social programs and supporting associations in organization, financial management, human resources management, and project planning. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Efráime plans to continue his community development work, sharing his knowledge with colleagues in the agrarian sector and beyond.
