Hasina Suzah Ratovonirina has been working in the value chain and agribusiness development sector for the past nine years. She currently works for GIZ, the German international development agency, as a technical advisor on climate change and value chain development. In her job, she works with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to strengthen the capacity of private sector partners and cooperatives in Madagascar. Hazina is also passionate about youth development and is the co-founder of the Sustainable Development Alliance, a network of young entrepreneurs. She holds a master’s degree in Agro-Management from the School of Agronomy at the University of Antananarivo. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Hasina plans to create a platform that coordinates the development and implementation of policy and strategy among the private sector and cooperatives in Madagascar.
