Jean Aristide Nicaise Aman works for the Global Green Growth Institute as the lead project coordinator for a Green Climate Fund readiness project at the Côte d'Ivoire Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. He is responsible for all project deliverables and for daily management of the project's operations. He is also the link between project beneficiaries, partners, and government officials. As a volunteer and a member of Junior Chamber International, he supported many community-based activities, including working with Operation International on a project that delivered free surgery to 70 vulnerable people. Nicaise is a hard worker, a proactive leader, and an innovative thinker. He received his Ph.D. from the Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar. Through the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Nicaise hopes to become a more effective leader and a better public manager. After completing the Fellowship, he plans to use the skills gained to improve the lives of vulnerable people and help them build resilience to climate change through adaptation and mitigation projects.
