About International Agreements

In an increasingly interconnected world, we recognize the value of international, collaborative research, teaching, exchange, and service. We realize today's most pressing challenges cannot be solved alone. Cross-cultural, cross-border, and cross-disciplinary partnerships and innovation are more critical than ever.

UC Davis Global Affairs seeks to support and strengthen ongoing international scholarship and research linkages across the world.

UC Davis has active international agreements with 130 partner institutions across more than 40 countries. Most of these agreements are at the initiative of faculty members.

International Agreements Process

UC Davis actively engages in collaborating with universities, research institutions, NGOs, and government agencies worldwide in order to facilitate a variety of intellectual interactions and exchanges. Global Affairs welcomes international partnership opportunities, and has an established process to request international partnership agreements.

Explore Agreement Types and Templates

UC Davis  has an established format known as the Agreement of Cooperation (AOC) with the purpose of creating general agreements of collaboration and cooperation between universities that do not involve the commitment of campus resources. Programmatic agreements that follow an AOC are known at UC Davis as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
