APRU, UC Davis and Universiti Malaya Launch Third Cohort of Asia Pacific Women in Leadership Mentoring Program

The University of California, Davis, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) and Universiti Malaya launched the third cohort of the Asia Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) Mentoring Program. The third cohort has 94 participants, consisting of 47 mentoring pairs that represent 24 APRU member institutions (out of 61 total member institutions). Of these 24 institutions, seven have participated in all three cohorts, 12 have participated in two cohorts and five are newcomers this year.

UC Davis Partners with University of Agriculture Faisalabad in Pakistan for Collaborations in Horticulture and Animal Science

On June 1, 2021, the University of California, Davis and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad in Pakistan signed an agreement of cooperation to partner on research and capacity building collaborations in horticulture and animal science. The agreement builds upon past agreements between the two universities signed in 2008 and 2013 as well as ongoing collaborations between UC Davis and Pakistan.

UC Davis and APRU Partner to Pilot Asia-Pacific Women in Leadership Mentoring Program

The University of California, Davis, and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), along with nine other APRU member institutions have launched the pilot of the Asia-Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) Mentoring Program. The year-long pilot program is bringing together 30 mentor and mentee participants from 10 universities around the Pacific Rim region to grow the pipeline of aspiring women leaders, increase awareness of challenges that aspiring women leaders face, and introduce global and intercultural dimensions of women leadership across the APRU network and beyond.
