May led a delegation to Kenya to advance a landmark partnership between the State of California and the Government of Kenya focused on climate action, clean transportation, climate smart agriculture, public health and innovation. The delegation was jointly organized by UC Davis Global Affairs, Institute of Transportation Studies and the Office of the Special Envoy on Climate of Kenya.
An agreement of cooperation has been signed by University College Dublin and the University of California, Davis to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the world.
This new research partnership will focus on the themes of Sustainable Food Systems, One Health, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and reaffirms both universities commitment to tackling global problems through collaborative research and education.

The California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) of UC Davis and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Smart City Research Center proudly announce a partnership in research efforts, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
From March 1 to June 30, 2022, Marly Augusto Cardoso served as UC Davis’ inaugural Fulbright Chair from Brazil. A senior scientist from the University of São Paulo, Cardoso specializes in child and maternal nutrition in the Amazon—expertise that brought her to the UC Davis Department of Nutrition and helped immerse her in the larger university community.
The University of California, Davis, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) and Universiti Malaya launched the third cohort of the APWiL Mentoring Program. The third cohort has 94 participants, consisting of 47 mentoring pairs that represent 24 APRU member institutions (out of 61 total member institutions). Of these 24 institutions, seven have participated in all three cohorts, 12 have participated in two cohorts and five are newcomers this year.
On October 22, 2022, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) APWiL Mentoring Program celebrated their second cohort with a virtual graduation celebration for 87 mentors and mentees from 26 institutions.
