The Humphrey Fellowship Returns to UC Davis with 15 Fellows in 2026-27
The prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a Fulbright exchange, returns to UC Davis in 2026-27, bringing opportunities for collaboration, innovation and the exchange of ideas with accomplished and influential mid-career professionals from countries around the world.
Fifteen Fellows will spend the next ten months on campus sharpening their professional and leadership skills and engaging with faculty, students and community partners across UC Davis and the region to advance shared priorities.
“We are honored to welcome this new cohort of Humphrey Fellows to UC Davis,” said Joanna Regulska, vice provost and dean of Global Affairs at UC Davis. “The Humphrey Fellowship reflects the power of international exchange to foster understanding and build lasting partnerships. We learn so much from these accomplished leaders, and when they return home, they become ambassadors for UC Davis, carrying the relationships, experiences and connections formed here into communities around the world.”
This is the 35th cohort of Humphrey Fellows hosted by UC Davis, one of seven universities selected as an institute partner. Since 1986, the university has welcomed over 300 Humphrey Fellows from more than 100 countries. The program, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the Institute of International Education, helps advance U.S. and global security and economic growth through strong international partnerships.
“It’s a privilege to host another outstanding cohort of Humphrey Fellows at UC Davis,” said Jennie Konsella-Norene, co-director of the Humphrey Fellowship Program at UC Davis Global Affairs. “The Humphrey Fellows enrich our community through their diverse perspectives and shared commitment to public service. Their work builds lasting connections and inspires future innovation.”
The Fellows will partner with local nonprofit organizations, government units and campus partners. They will also participate in community events, conferences and seminars, and give back to the Davis community. These experiences enable Fellows to apply new ideas in real-world settings while building professional networks and relationships that extend well beyond their time at UC Davis.
