Excellence in Teaching for Global Learning Awards
The Excellence in Teaching for Global Learning Awards, a partnership between Global Affairs and the Academic Senate, recognize instructors who are dedicated to offering transformative global learning experiences to UC Davis students. These awards celebrate innovative teaching that fosters global awareness, intercultural competencies and collaborative problem-solving among students. Two awardees will be selected: one member of the Academic Senate and one member of the Academic Federation.

Chancellor's Awards for International Engagement
The Chancellor's Awards for International Engagement at UC Davis honor faculty and staff for their exceptional contributions to global engagement. Nominees must demonstrate significant impacts on internationalization through teaching, research, service or promoting the university's goal of Global Education for All. Two award categories are available: faculty (Academic Senate or Academic Federation) and staff.

Expressions of Interest for New Faculty-led Study Abroad Programs—Academic Year 2026
The Global Learning Hub invites Academic Senate and Academic Federation faculty with active teaching appointments to submit Expressions of Interest for new faculty-led study abroad programs, to be considered for 2026.

Teaching for Global Learning Program
The Global Affairs Teaching for Global Learning Program helps faculty design courses that prepare students to navigate an interconnected world. Faculty will receive tools for developing global learning curricula, incorporating diverse perspectives and enhancing student engagement. Participants will receive an honorarium and access to a grant opportunity. Limited spots are available.

NSF Cultural Anthropology Program - Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grants
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Cultural Anthropology Program offers Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grants for graduate students conducting research on sociocultural topics. Proposals must be submitted by the dissertation advisor, with the student as co-PI. Research areas include migration, health, technology and more.

University of Montpellier EXPLORE#7 Call for Projects, Support for International Mobility
The University of Montpellier announces EXPLORE#7, a funding initiative under the I-SITE Excellence Program to support international mobility projects. It offers three funding schemes for individuals and groups involved in academic, scientific or pedagogical collaborations. Applications are open to faculty, researchers, Ph.D. students and staff.

France-Berkeley Fund Call for Proposals
Established in 1993, the France-Berkeley Fund supports scholarly exchange between the University of California and France. Grants provide seed funding for collaborations. A $10,000 campus match is required; the Office of Research will fund up to $5,000 per award, contingent on matching funds from the dean. NSF and Germany's Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation join forces
The U.S. National Science Foundation and Germany's SPRIND have partnered to accelerate innovation and technology translation. This collaboration aims to address societal challenges, strengthen research ties, and create new industries, leveraging complementary strengths in funding and development to enhance both U.S. and European innovation ecosystems.

UC Alianza MX Strategic Research Projects
The University of California Alianza MX provides up to two years of seed funding for strategic research projects that deepen the understanding of common challenges shared by the U.S. and Mexico and propose innovative solutions. The proposal requires a UC principal investigator, collaborators from another UC campus and a Mexican partner institution. Up to $200,000 in funding is available.

UC Alianza MX Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
The University of California Alianza MX is offering postdoctoral fellowships for 2025 to foster U.S.-Mexico research collaboration. The program provides up to five fellowships for recent Ph.D. graduates to conduct research at UC campuses.

UC Davis and the City of Sacramento Release a Voluntary Local Review of the UN SDGs
The 2024 Voluntary Local Review on the UN Sustainable Development Goals for the City of Sacramento maps Sacramento’s 2040 General Plan and Climate Action & Adaptation Plan to the 17 SDGs and its underlying principles. This is a collaborative project between the City of Sacramento and UC Davis.
Humphrey Fellow Speaks at International Forum with a Warning About Overtaxing Groundwater Resources
The UC Davis Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow cohort joined 142 Humphrey Fellows from 92 countries at the Global Leadership Forum in Washington D.C. Fellow Ana Celis (Mexico) was selected as a speaker for the "Humphreys Perspectives Panel: Ensuring Sustainable Environments."

Opening Reception for a New Exhibition: Visual Journals 2010-2024
