Keynote Speaker Named for 2018 International Research Conference at UC Davis
We are very pleased to announce that Elizabeth L. Hillman, President of Mills College, will be the keynote speaker of the 2018 International Research Conference at UC Davis on September 17 and 18, 2018.
Hillman serves on the Committee on Impacts of Sexual Harassment in Academia, part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and is a co-author of the recently-released report, Sexual Harassment of Women: Climate, Culture, and Consequences in Academic Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Hillman will share her expertise and discuss the implications of this important report on sexual harassment as they relate to research and innovation in the U.S. and around the world.
This highly relevant topic is among the many critical issues that will be featured at the 2018 International Research Conference at UC Davis, “Innovation within Changing Political and Research Environments.” The conference includes plenary sessions, small breakout sessions, "TED-style" talks, poster presentations, discussions with funding agencies, and opportunities for networking across disciplines with colleagues from throughout the world.
