Regulska takes lead on shaping international education

Joanna Regulska, the vice provost and dean of Global Affairs at UC Davis, is among 23 international educators inducted this spring into the inaugural class of the National Academy for International Education, an honorary society and think tank charged with shaping the future of international education.

UC Davis Takes Top Spot for Diversity in National Rankings

The University of California, Davis, has taken top spot among universities in the nation for its inclusiveness, diversity and internationalization in rankings released today (May 5). In the second annual QS USA University Rankings, UC Davis ranked sixth overall among public universities (34th among all institutions) in the nation and fourth among public universities (seventh among all universities) in California. In the diversity and internationalization category, the campus tied for top spot with the private New York University; last year it also tied for first in the category with New York University and UCLA.

UC Davis Joins Statements on UN, US Sustainability Goals

Chancellor Gary S. May is reaffirming UC Davis’ commitment to a better planet by joining with dozens of other university leaders around the world on statements calling for action on sustainability, equality, equitable economic growth and more. In the first, announced at an online forum hosted last month by Zhejiang University, 58 signatories called for action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, which include transformative goals like ending world hunger, combating climate change, achieving gender equality, making cities inclusive and safe, and conserving wildlife. When the SDGs were adopted in 2015, governments around the world committed to achieving the agenda by 2030.

Global Affairs Vice Provost and Dean Joanna Regulska Inducted into National Academy for International Education’s Inaugural Class

Joanna Regulska, vice provost and dean of Global Affairs at UC Davis, has been named a founding member of the National Academy for International Education, as announced on March 22 by the Institute of International Education, or IIE. The first learned society of its kind, the National Academy for International Education is an honorary society and think tank made up of distinguished leaders from all over the world, including Australia, Canada, China, Ghana, Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S., among other countries.

Statement of Support for the Asian and Pacific Islander Community

From Atlanta to the Bay Area and around the world, the escalation of anti-Asian attacks and rhetoric is deeply disturbing. We extend our deepest condolences to our students, scholars, faculty, staff, partners, and all those affected by the recent tragedies. UC Davis Global Affairs stands in solidarity with the Asian and Pacific Islander community and we join Chancellor Gary S. May and colleagues in condemning abhorrent violence, threats, and discrimination. The diversity of our campus is one of our greatest strengths. We all benefit tremendously from welcoming the brightest students, faculty, and staff from all over the world to our UC Davis community.
