International Visitors

Navigating a large international airport in a foreign country can be confusing. Services for International Students and Scholars (SISS) within Global Affairs, wants you to have a good experience from the moment you land in California. Many international flights arrive at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

On June 1, 2021, the University of California, Davis and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad in Pakistan signed an agreement of cooperation to partner on research and capacity building collaborations in horticulture and animal science. The agreement builds upon past agreements between the two universities signed in 2008 and 2013 as well as ongoing collaborations between UC Davis and Pakistan.

Rector Ignacio Sánchez, from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile traveled UC Davis to hold a series of meetings with UC Davis leaders to assess the current relationship and joint work being pursued by both institutions in various departments and also to strengthen opportunities for continuing the internationalization of UC.

Often referred to in the media as “the Red Prince” for his pro-democracy stance, Alaoui is an outspoken advocate for constitutional monarchy in Morocco. He is a graduate of Princeton University, earned his doctorate in Middle Eastern studies at Oxford University, and is currently a research associate at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University."

This September 17 and 18, leaders in research, international education, government and industry converged at UC Davis with a common purpose: developing innovative strategies for international research within today’s rapidly changing political and research environments. The 2018 International Research Conference at UC Davis, hosted by Global Affairs, drew over 200 experts and just as many different perspectives from every corner of the world.

The University of California, Davis announced a partnership with CSIRO, Australia’s pre-eminent national science organization. The partnership marks the first major collaboration agreement between CSIRO and an American university.

During the visit, Consul General Luo had meetings with Chancellor Gary S. May and Vice Provost and Associate Chancellor Joanna Regulska, expressing gratitude to UC Davis for continued endeavor on expanding academic and research collaboration with China and for taking care of over 4,000 Chinese students and scholars on campus.

Just before fall term wrapped up and students took off for winter break, the Former President of the People’s Republic of Poland, Hon. Bronisław Komorowski, paid a visit to the University of California, Davis.
