The multiplicity of challenges reinforces the critical need for students to develop global awareness, skills, knowledge, and sensibilities – all of which make global education more important than ever.

IIE and UC Davis Series Brings University Leaders Together, Explores the Future of International Education

This June 18- July 16, the Institute of International Education (IIE) and the University of California, Davis, presented The Future of International Education: Leadership Perspectives from Around the World, a five-part series of leadership conversations about the future of international education, including the role internationalization has in advancing university missions.

Collaborative and International UC Davis Project Awarded U21’s New Global Education Enhancement Fund

UC Davis is the lead institution on a global classroom pilot project, partnering with Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China to create a framework for teaching the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using a global classroom model that has been developed and utilized by Tecnológico de Monterrey and will be enhanced by UC Davis and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Global Aggies: A Climate Leader Teaching Thousands, Changing the World

To say that former UC Davis Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow Itzel Morales (2016-17, México) is responsible for climate leadership in Latin America is no understatement. Through her work with Climate Reality Latin America, she is the official coordinator of climate activists throughout Latin America, including her home country of México, overseeing 1,260 climate leaders representing 20 countries.

The Sustainability and Renewable Energy Center at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and Mexico’s National Commission of Efficient Energy Use establish terms of collaboration

Upon invitation from the Director of the Sustainability and Renewable Energy Center (CSER) at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG), Dr. Mauricio Alcocer Ruthling, the Director of Mexico’s National Commission of Efficient Energy Use (CONUEE) visited the installations of what will be the new Lighting Technology Center (CTI).This project is in collaboration with UC Davis, which already has its own lighting technology center and energy efficient experts.
