Educators from Osaka University and UC Davis are proud to announce the launch of a new biotechnology research and training program between Japan and the United States. Graduate students from both universities will gain access to world-class research facilities and professional training across many areas.

On August 16, 2018, UC Davis Vice Provost and Associate Chancellor of Global Affairs Joanna Regulska and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile Rector Ignacio Sánchez met in Santiago, Chile to sign a renewal Agreement of Cooperation and discuss existing and future areas of collaboration.

As we continue to expand the global reach of UC Davis and internationalize our campus, we also have had to create new procedures and policies: 1. new international agreement procedures, reviewed by the Academic Senate, to streamline the process of partnering with international institutions and 2. a new international travel policy to ensure trip registration and safety.

The University of California, Davis announced a partnership with CSIRO, Australia’s pre-eminent national science organization. The partnership marks the first major collaboration agreement between CSIRO and an American university.

The new collaboration unites animal and agricultural sciences leaders.

Michelle Bachelet, president of Chile, Linda P.B. Katehi, chancellor of the University of California, Davis, and U.S. Ambassador Michael A. Hammer opened the UC Davis-Chile Life Sciences Innovation Center in Santiago, Chile. The center’s long-term goal is to support research, development and economic competitiveness in Chile and California with a focus on the agricultural industry, including plant breeding, postharvest and climate-change technologies
