Diverse Group of 2022 Grant Recipients Advance United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 

On March 3, 2022, three research teams were honored with $7,500 in grant funding each to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The grants were announced at the seventh annual Global Affairs International Connections Reception, hosted by Global Affairs, a special event that celebrates the global engagement of UC Davis faculty, staff and scholars.

Pam Ronald Wins Wolf Prize in Agriculture

UC Davis plant geneticist Pam Ronald has been named the recipient of the 2022 International Wolf Prize in Agriculture, given by the Jerusalem-based Wolf Foundation in recognition of her “pioneering work on disease resistance and environmental stress tolerance in rice.”

UC Davis is a 20-Year Top Producer of Gilman Scholars

UC Davis was recognized by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for ranking 11th among large institutions in the number of Gilman recipients over the past twenty years in the following category: 20-year Overall Top Producer – Large Institution.
