In LCC, multilingual graduate students practice their oral English communication skills for the classroom. The program especially focuses on helping students prepare for their roles as TAs, but students who do not hold TA positions are also welcome to join.
Students choose which areas they want to focus on by joining one or more of the program's four tracks. Each track is delivered in a one-unit EDU 198 course.
Language and Academic Support for Multilingual Students
International and Academic English strives to ensure academic success for multilingual students, both undergraduate and graduate, by using data to identify barriers to multilingual student success and partnering with campus entities to build programs to overcome them.
