Dr. Alberto Garcia-Prats is an associate professor of the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (School of Agricultural Engineering and Environment) and researcher in the Water and Environmental Engineering Research Institute (IIAMA) at the Technical University of Valencia (UPV) in Spain, with research expertise in crop-water simulation models and decision support tools for an efficient and sustainable agricultural water use and management. At UPV he teaches courses on Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, and Agricultural Water Planning and Management. He is a Fulbright visiting scholar at the Department of Land, Air and Water Resources hosted by professor Sam Sandoval. Alberto collaborates with Prof. Sandoval to develop and apply agro-hydrological models based on remote sensing technologies to estimate and map evapotranspiration and consumptive use of water by irrigated agriculture.
