Dawonou Afi Victorine has over five years of experience in phytosanitary inspection. She is currently responsible for phytosanitary certification with the Plant Protection Service, where she controls vegetables and plants products for export. Dawonou holds a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the National Institute for Agricultural Training in Togo, specializing in plant production. She began her career as a national volunteer. She participated in a leadership program at the YALI West African Regional Leadership Center. She is driven to improve the living conditions and well-being of poor people. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Dawonou plans to continue improving small-scale agriculture in order to reduce poverty.
