About Petronille Dusingizimana

Petronille Dusingizimana has more than five years of experience in agriculture, climate change and food systems. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate at Université Felix, focusing on climate change, biodiversity and sustainable agriculture. Petronille is an African food system leadership Fellow, which is an initiative targeting emerging leaders to jointly transform Africa's food for the better. She also is a volunteer with the global Climate-Smart Agriculture Youth Network. Previously, Petronille worked with CGIAR (formerly the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research), the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Bioversity International and CIAT, and the International Food Policy Research Institute assisting with research and consulting on agriculture, climate change and food system projects. Petronille holds a master's degree in climate change adaptation and a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and biotechnology. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Petronille plans to finish her doctorate and pursue opportunities where she can contribute to the development of Rwanda and Africa, especially in the agriculture sector.
