Kurutsi Tabki Joshua is a certified electrical engineer and a renewable energy expert who is passionate about sustainability and the provision of clean and stable electricity for all Nigerians. Joshua is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University with more than nine years of practice in electrical power systems, energy metering and renewable energy. He currently works for the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency. His role includes managing inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations and energy meters. He is skilled in the design and installation of photovoltaic solar systems. Joshua has volunteered in more than 38 solar-powered projects across Nigeria, and he mentors youth through the Kuteb Youth General Assembly. He has a special interest in smart grids with a focus on distributed energy generation and storage from renewable energy sources, microgrid integration, advanced metering infrastructure, electric vehicles and grid management. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Joshua hopes to advance sustainability with more effort toward wider use of clean, stable energy and off-grid solutions for electrical power and solar-powered water supply for rural and underserved communities.
