Tracy Koske is an early childhood specialist with experience in partnership building, project management and policy analysis. She is the childcare coordinator key consultant at WIEGO (Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing). In this role, she is responsible for coordinating the Childcare in Markets project in three African cities – Accra, Durban and Kigali.

Tracy holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Eldoret, a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi and a certificate in Public Policy Analysis from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow pursuing an MA in Education: Early Childhood from the University of Sheffield under the prestigious UK Government Chevening Scholarship. She speaks fluent English and Swahili, as well as intermediate French. Tracy is the founder and the Executive Director of Early Years Africa, an NGO committed to advocating for and creating awareness on education, health and wellbeing of children in their early years.

Tracy believes in Education as an equalizer and strives to ensure access to quality and affordable Education. Her work focuses on improving access to quality early years education and childcare, supporting governments in sub-Saharan Africa in implementing existing policies and guidelines. She hopes to impact children in vulnerable communities, including informal and rural communities, in accessing education opportunities by designing a sustainable education and childcare model that governments can upscale and adopt in sub-Saharan Africa.
