Nelson Banda has over seven years of experience in the energy and environment sector, specifically focusing on policy design and implementation. Currently, Nelson is an Engineer in renewable energy at the Energy Regulation Board in Zambia. He is responsible for providing regulatory oversight to renewable energy infrastructure through conformity assessment and ensuring adherence to technical standards. Nelson holds a Master's degree in Energy Engineering where he focused on sustainable power generation and energy utilization. Nelson is driven by his passion for the energy sector and is committed to contributing to the national agenda of sustainable access to clean forms of energy. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Nelson plans to continue his work to foster the accelerated deployment of renewable energy and efficiency in Zambia.
