UC Davis Graduate School of Management MBA student Daniel Students blogs about representing UC Davis in the 2018-19 Universitas 21/PwC Innovation Challenge.

To spur its Global Centers strategy, UC Davis Global Affairs partnered with the Graduate School of Management (GSM) to engage a team of six part-time MBA students through the Integrated Management Project, the school’s capstone course. The team’s project involved surveying stakeholders on campus and traveling to Chile for meetings with institutions—in tandem with researching and developing a strategy for the first UC Davis Global Center within Global Affairs.

Daniel Student from University of California, Davis, was named a runner-up in the Universitas 21 (U21) and PwC 2018-19 U21/PwC Innovation Challenge competition. 

Preparing students for global challenges and opportunities is the goal of a new Curriculum Enhancement through Global Learning program at UC Davis.

Support Global Affairs on Give Day 2019! UC Davis Give Day is a 29-hour online fundraising drive to support initiatives at UC Davis, beginning at noon on Friday, April 12 and ending at 5 p.m. on Picnic Day, Saturday, April 13.

Budding photographer Matthew Dea has a passion for traveling. He’s also a senior at UC Davis majoring in biotechnology with a minor in linguistics. His passion for travel led him to study abroad in South Africa — in the Fall 2018 UC Education Abroad Program (UCEAP).

As UC Davis prepares students for an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world, the university has a new vision to provide a meaningful global education to all students, regardless of financial circumstances, ability to travel or other considerations.

Two faculty in the UC Davis College of Letters and Science were honored Thursday for their efforts to provide global learning opportunities for students — both on campus and abroad.

Global Affairs hopes to fill the committee with two students from each college, graduate, and professional school. Participation involves two meetings per month for undergraduate advisors and one or two meetings per month for graduate and professional students. Professional development and networking opportunities will also be provided.
