Mr. Chaudhary began his professional development work in 2000. He has worked for more than 10 years in various positions in national and international organizations in Nepal such as ANSAB, HELVETAS and FIAN Nepal. Most recently, he worked for Local Governance and Community Development Program (LGCDP) in UNDP Nepal as a Livelihood and Local Economic Development Expert. He has managed externally funded projects by the European Union (EU) and Norwegian Agency for Development and Cooperation (Norad), Bread for the World and Misereor/Germany. He has combined experience of socio-economic and right based approaches of development. Mr. Chaudhary has a Master’s degree in Agriculture from Nepal and has diversified his academic field by pursuing an M.A. in Rural Development from Japan with a scholarship from the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJWBGSP). He has published three journal articles and one book as principal author in addition to a training manual of riverbed vegetable farming as co-author and a couple of popular articles in local and national newspapers. He is the founding member of People Centered Development Forum and Sarbodaya Nepal – NGOs working in the field of education and empowerment of farmers and poor people in Nepal.
