Bio

Mr. Koutou holds a Master’s Degree in Crop Biotechnology. He received his Agriculture Engineering Degree from Agriculture National School of Meknes in Morocco in 2000. Since then, he has been working for the National Institute of Agriculture and Environmental Research in Burkina Faso (INERA). He is responsible for research on vegetable crops in the country. Since 2005, Mr. Koutou has been the national Principal Investigator of IPM-CRSP project funded by USAID, where he is serving as national expert in pests and disease control, emphasizing viral diseases. During his Humphrey year, Mr. Koutou will take classes in rural development, project management, and laboratory studies using biotechnology tools.
