Ms. Kunwar graduated in Forestry from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Australian National University, Australia. She has ten years of experience working with different forestry, watershed and community development programs. She is currently the Terai Program Coordinator of the Livelihoods and Forestry Program. Ms. Kunwar has designed and initiated many projects such as decentralized forest sector planning, public land management, enterprise development and social mobilization for Terai. As a Humphrey Fellow, Ms. Kunwar wants to enhance her knowledge in natural resource management policy and planning, focusing on economic development. She also hopes to explore the topics of climate change, clean development mechanisms, carbon credit markets and energy resource management.
