Bio

Muhiddinjon Nurmatov received his qualification as an Agronomist from Tajikistan Agrarian University. He holds a Master’s Degree in Agronomy. He has taught a variety of classes related to fruit and vegetable production in Tajikistan. While working at the University, Mr. Nurmatov carried out independent research work entitled Biological and Physiological Characteristics of the Onion in the Winter Planting Season. From 1999 to 2006, he worked for an international organization, CARE, in Tajikistan. While working for CARE, Mr. Nurmatov took part in the implementation of three projects, devoted to increasing agricultural productivity by improving utilization of natural resources. Mr. Nurmatov will take courses in Agronomy as Humphrey Fellow at UC Davis, while also broadening his professional skills in other areas.
