Mr. Duarte da Conceição holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomic Engineering from Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, Brazil (ESALQ- USP). Since 2003, he has been working for the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply, where he is involved with import and export control and international certification for agricultural products in the Program of Agricultural International Surveillance, at the Port of Santos. As a Humphrey Fellow, Mr. Duarte da Conceição is interested in enhancing his knowledge and professional skills related to policy making, auditing and inspection systems applied to promoting agricultural production in organic production. He also hopes to learn more about project management, agriculture development and sustainable agriculture.
