Mr. Maria is head of the Animal Health Services at the National Zoo in the Dominican Republic (West Indies). He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo and is an associate professor at private and state universities. Dr. Maria has worked for 14 year for the National Conservation Programs of Native and Endemic fauna of the Dominican Republic.
