Dr. Ranaivoarivelo holds a Ph.D. in Rural Geography and specializes in the interface between environmental and agricultural sectors. She has conducted research on a large range of topics, including use and management of rural space, productive systems and farming. As Program Director at CARE International in Madagascar, she provides leadership and guidance in developing its program portfolio, while maintaining strategic relationships with a large array of institutional, technical and financial partners. During her Humphrey Fellowship, Dr. Ranaivoarivelo’s research will focus on climate change adaptation, with emphasis on gender issues.
