Mr. Sultan completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Srinagar, India and received his Master’s in Alternate Hydro Energy Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Roorkee, India. During his cumulative experience of 15 years in the Agency, he has been instrumental in the implementation of a number of renewable energy projects like Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) village electrification, SPV Power plants, SPV Pumps, Solar Thermal Systems and Micro Hydels. As a Humphrey Fellow, Mr. Sultan hopes to assess and evaluate renewable energy policies and programs of the developed world for achieving sustainable development in the developing world through energy efficient and cost effective means.
