Mr. Thapa received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Training in Rural Agriculture and Teaching. He has 20 years of experience as an Agriculture Extension Officer, Senior Agriculture Development Officer and Chief Agriculture Training Officer in various districts of the Far-western Development Region of Nepal. Mr. Thapa has worked with farmer groups to disseminate appropriate agricultural technologies and has hands-on practical experience in planning, organizing and implementing training programs for frontline agriculture extension workers and leader farmers. He is responsible for coordinating agricultural extension projects at the district level and also for running programs in partnership with other related governmental and non-governmental organizations.
